Dear Members of Worcester City Council and Zoning Committee,
Please, for the record, I wish my comment to be considered relative to the zoning application for SMART meters in Worcester. I opposed these and the installation of the towers to support them. I would not want those towers in the Tatnuck area or anywhere in the City unless they have :
1. First submit for public record that these meters and towers have been thoroughly tested, from an unbiased third party, to be free of any toxic impact to people and or the environment
2. That use of such instrumentation would be void of and eliminate the invasion of privacy beyond reading “voltage total use” only for billing purposes of energy consumed.
3. The public at large should have an opportunity to review and either deny or approve such submissions, and have ample time to discuss these in an open forum with the time to speak beyond the parameters of 3 minute margins offered at public hearings.
WCCA is available to provide that forum if so desired by our community.
Many members of the community have utilized WCCA’s public electronic common space to share their point of view on this matter with hopes they are not overlooked.
